 Press Releases

  • APE Grupo brings to Coverings Connected, a digital experience for Coverings 2020, its new products of the APE and Carmen brands, this last one of small format and focused on the North American market.

Series such as The Hamptons, Tennessee, Memories, Switch or Harlequin share the limelight with APE brand products such as Mare di Dabia, Koen or 4Stones.

The main advantage of APE Grupo is their ability to translate fashion trends to product design in a dynamic way. In addition to having a 'coolhunting' team, who search for the key fashion trends worldwide, they have an internal design department formed by a team of designers in Spain, one in Italy and a product manager. The result is ceramic products tailored to each market.

In this sense, José Miguel Pellicer, CEO of APE Grupo, says that with an incomparable variety of products, 'we offer as many possibilities and versatility as any market can demand. From the most decorative and fashionable aspect, to the most technical and specialised products".

The different materials that being presented at Coverings Connected, with their formats and technical characteristics, have a common concept which APE Grupo has been working on in the last two years: The Perfect Mix.

With this idea 'we explore the multiplying possibilities of working together: with customers, collections, with each other... Together we are more than the sum of our parts. The Perfect Mix strengthens our idea of multidisciplinary companies that, together, give a global solution to customers and designers, and emphasises the ability to mix and match in order to give prominence to the consumer', APE Grupo explains.

In short, it is a perfect mix that harmonises the elements and manages to assemble all available resources correctly. The result is a perfect symphony.

  • The Hamptons
With The Hamptons we fuse several of the traditional tiling formats with a colour palette inspired by the Atlantic coastline of New York....

  • When the first European settlers set sail for the new world, they created a new home full of tributes to their roots. The Hamptons, belonging to the English colony of New York, became a holiday retreat for wealthy families.
The latest trends of the time were shipped over to decorate their mansions, which were true examples of English luxury. These included ceramic tiles, which fused Victorian taste with Mediterranean spirit.
The Hamptons is our tribute to the decorative style that the settlers took to the United States. A collection of small and varied formats that echoes a clearly Mediterranean classic tile, but with an English spirit. Two traditions of materials united by a love of the sea.
    True tiles!
  • Naxos
Cement and marble porcelanic collection by APE Best for you....

  • A pocket-sized island in Greece lapped by the Mediterranean and protagonist of Greek mythology, with priceless archaeological remains and vestiges of an impressive cultural past, inspires our Naxos collection.

Rain, wind and weather grind down the edges of this cement tile, highlighting them and making them more beautiful if each piece fits together.

Mediterranean aromas permeate its colour range: white, silver, sea and niagara.

  • Memories
Memories is a special collection where we use production techniques reintroduced from handicrafts systems....

  • Memories is a special collection where we use production techniques reintroduced from handicrafts systems. On the one hand, it’s composed of smaller versions of the classic tile formats. We also use a double firing system that allows us to reproduce colour gradients on the surface and with a crackle glazed effect when desired. At Carmen we’ve managed to reproduce it without losing any of the mechanical properties of the material. Pure ceramic essence!
  • Mare di Sabbia
Imperial, glorious and exceptionally intricate marbles to recreate sober environments capable of adorning every corner of our home....

  • Daino Reale, a precious natural marble extracted from Sardinian quarries and characterised by a warm and timeless cream colour, serves as the background to fuse the quintessential veins of a mighty Essential Grey in our Mare di Sabbia collection.
Light is reflected after delicate honing in its matte version, achieving a soft contrast that highlights its purest essence.
  • Koen
Koen is a proposal for a vast ceramic wood collection capable of solving any challenge of interior design....

  • Koen is our new porcelain wood collection with 5 different tones. It stands out for its versatility, thanks to its variety of formats, decorations and finishes.
Koen is available in multiple formats: 20x120, 30x120, 40x120 and 80x80cm and in matte and polished versions.
  • Tennessee
Inspired by the birthplace of the blues, Tennessee lends its name to a collection with harmony and rhythm....

  • Tennessee is where artisan ceramic tiles converge with state-ofthe-art manufacturing technologies. The idea behind this collection is to uphold traditional delicacy in a unique tile with brand new formats (5.2 x 16.1 and 13.8 x 13.8) and a whole host of colours.

Its shabby chic appearance and faded tone, with a play of colours between white, black, grey, blue, green and brown, remind us of the imperfect beauty of the handmade finish, which makes this piece truly unique and exclusive.
