By submitting a product for the gallery, your company consents to the terms below.

Products must qualify as new as defined below:

A product qualifies as new if it is manufactured or exclusively distributed by a company and was introduced to the marketplace since January 2021.

OFFICIAL RULES

Set forth below are a list of rules (the “Rules”) applicable to the Online New Product Gallery being sponsored by International Tile Exposition, a joint venture t/a Coverings (“Coverings”). By submitting any materials to Coverings for use with respect to the Online New Product Gallery (the “Materials”), you acknowledge and agree to each of the following terms:

You must be a Coverings 2022 exhibitor to enter new products in the Online New Product Gallery. If you submit more than one product into the online gallery, all rules below apply to all product entries.

The product must be new in 2021. “New” means the product must have been first sold at any level of distribution since January 1, 2021. All new product entries are subject to approval. Coverings reserves the right to remove/disqualify any product that it believes does not qualify as new.

The number of product submissions per exhibitor is limited to (7) seven.

There is no entry fee to submit a product for the Online New Product Gallery.

The Online New Product Gallery will be available online on the website and mobile app.

Coverings may in its sole discretion elect not to include a product in its 2022 Online New Product Gallery.

You grant a perpetual royalty free license to Coverings for the use of the Materials as part of the Online New Product Gallery.

Coverings may make any stylistic edits to submission entries that it deems to be appropriate, in its commercially reasonable judgement.

Any legal dispute relating to these Rules or the Online New Product Gallery will be resolved by Arbitration in Arlington, Virginia before a single arbitrator under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association.

In no event shall the aggregate liability of Coverings to you with respect to the Online New Product Showcase exceed $500.00.

In no event shall any joint venture member of Coverings have any direct liability to you with respect to the Online New Product Gallery with your recourse being limited solely to the assets of Coverings.

Porfidi S.r.l. is renowned for being a cutting-edge leader in the production and sale of Italian, Argentinian and Mexican porphyry all over the world. Its expertise also includes setting at the work site, project design, production of splitting machines and cutting tools.

Thanks to its physical properties and its beauty as well, porphyry has been used since antiquity onwards as an artistic element and for the realisation of flooring and cladding of prestigious spaces. Nowadays, in designing a building or a building infrastructure, the choice of matierals overall is closely linked with their physical and mechanical characteristics, which bear significant weight in the engineer’s calculations towards the stability and durability of the project. Needless to say, exactly for its characteristics, porphyry is used for both interior and exterior areas, such as commercial sites and dwelling places, as well as old towns and squares, but also for many other different purposes, such as design objects, furniture, steps, and the like. All of our products keep porphyry’s most important features unchanged in the course of time. What is more, the surface does not change and doest not need regeneration treatment as in the case of other stones:
- High abrasion resistance that grants non-slippery properties;
- High wear resistance which allows to avoid aging;
- Surface regularity, which makes treading comfortable and pleasing;
- Low absorption of water and other substances that could spoil its qualities and that guarantee a particular resistance to the strongest agents, not only the atmospheric ones.

Porphyry is never evenly coloured, its variations are unique and everlasting. As no toxic substances are used, all of the production phases are eco-friendly. This also preserves porphyry’s beautiful natural features.

Striving for excellence, our company has created three main product lines that underline the unique features of our products:
- CUBICO: cubes with natural cleft surface, both regular and irregular;
- PALLADIUM: tiles with natural cleft surface, with regular shape and spilt or sawn sides, as well as with irregular shape (“Opus Incertum”);
- STARDUST: selected products with processed surface, for both interior and exterior areas.

Selection of rectangular tiles with natural cleft surface and split and slightly beveled edges, obtained by the splitting of rough slabs. Their width is always fixed, while their length is variable, at least equal to the width.

Cubico Regular

Selection of cubes with regular section produced by the splitting of natural slabs using Steinex’s machines; it is suitable for symmetrical paving, for both indoor and outdoor use. Their dimension is fixed, while their thickness varies according to the kind of traffic they have to bear: cm 2-4 for indoor and pedestrian areas, cm 3-6 and cm 5-8 for pedestrian and light traffic areas, cm 7-10 for heavy traffic areas.

Porphyry cubes of different sizes and dimensions with natural cleft surface and split sides, used according to the kind of traffic they have to bear: cm 3-6 and cm 5-8 for pedestrian and light traffic areas, cm 7-10 for heavy traffic areas. Thanks to their shape, it is possible to create different setting patterns: overlapping arcs, a peacock tail or fan, a concentric circles and alternating arcs.

With rectangular shape, sharp-cut corners, and edges perpendicular to the plane, they are available in different dimensions with random or, on request, fixed length. They are suitable for paving and cladding, for both indoor and outdoor use.

Selection of irregular slabs with natural cleft surface. The paving one can derive from this material is very simple, but it is precisely in this simplicity that lies its charm.

Sestino

Porphyry tiles with lower and upper natural cleft surface.... More Info Less Info

Sesino tradizionale is commonly used for outdoor paving in pedestrian and light traffic areas, in which the designer would like to create a sort of ancient-like context. It consists of small tiles (“smolleri”) with lower and upper natural cleft surface and split edges. They are laid on cement mortar on aligned joints; it is for their variable width that there is a sort of recall to historic paving overall.

Sestino rustico is used for both outdoor paving and cladding; it consists of small tiles (“smolleri”) of variable height with lower and upper natural cleft surface. Laid in parallel rows, they are suitable for heavy traffic areas. The roughness of their split edge offers a high bond uphill and in very steep ramps.

Stardust porphyry is a masterpiece of refinement and elegance, consisting in magnificent slabs obtained from monolithic blocks – the result is a real carpet of stardust. Great mastery and professional skills are required to create elements that are perfect in their finishing touch.

Stardust porphyry is the name given to products with processed surface intended for indoor and outdoor paving, and for any kind of specific finishing, such as floors, cladding, floating floors, ventilated façades, contoured shape finishing, steps, window sills and interior decoration elements such as kitchen and washroom basin tops.
