MONOSCOPIO CeramicaBardelli

 Press Releases

  • Ceramica Bardelli partecipates at Coverings 2022 Las Vegas presenting the new collections: Monoscopio, design by Dainelli Studio, Volume, design by Storage Associati Milano and Cromia.

    MONOSCOPIO, design Danielli Studio

Monoscopio is present on the market since September 2021 and represents the first Capsule Collection of Ceramica Bardelli, a collection in porcelain stoneware that contains an idea of finished project and a mixture of more formats and colors with original patterns and different expressive values.

Monoscopio was born from the idea of Marzia and Leonardo Dainelli of Studio Dainelli to complete the project of a student housing in Milan and to offer a complete covering solution, through a single brand. For this project Ceramica Bardelli has realized a patchwork with a crescent-shaped element for a grit effect floor, with a set of listels in six colors that can complete a decorative space, a wall, an environment, or cover all interior and exterior surfaces.

The designers studied this product in the 25x25 cm format, taking Monoscopio’s colorful patchwork as reference and combining a slightly aged matte surface with a crescent-shaped portion of glossy surface, to be replicated and posed without patterns.

This is a very important achievement for the world of ceramics because, through new digital technologies, two finishes have been applied to a single tile. This is part of Ceramica Bardelli’s commitment to transmit not only an original design concept but also a precise technical concept capable of communicating the importance that digital printing technology applied to ceramics can give to the product.

It is also important to note that the floor reproduces the material structure of the Milanese grit type through a slight bas-relied effect which combines glossy and matt channels: the gray grains are treated with a glossy application that gives a feeling of movement and conveys a precious idea of the material.

The listel, with its bas-relief ‘ribbed’ structure, is particularly appreciated by the market because it gives a “movement” to the wall with a particularly efficient and pleasant aesthetic result.

    VOLUME, design Storage Associati Milano

The Volume collection was born from the collaboration of Ceramica Bardelli and Storage Associati di Milano. The project consists in the realization of four types of structure in extreme bas-relief and an installation scheme in accordance with the module conceived by the designers, to be placed on the wall.

The support is a white body porous single-fired, with a slightly higher water absorption than porcelain stoneware, but more elastic and malleable during production.

The Volume collection is in 10x40 cm format with a base thickness of 8 mm to 18 mm in total. This is a significant thickness, almost unique in the world of ceramics, in a Lichtenburg format.

This tile is enhanced by the combination of a 10x40 flat format that dilutes the aesthetic impact of the collection in a modular environment as directed by the architect.

There are six colors: classic neutrals like sand, cool gray and irreplaceable white and black, as well as bold colors such as midnight blue and octane green, two popular shades inspired by color trends of the world of fashion.

The accentuated tridimensional of this covering gives movement and character to walls, creating interesting plays of lights and shadows. The collection does perfectly fit in both contract and domestic interior settings and in all contexts where a particular scenic and architectural effect is sought.

    CROMIA

Colour returns to be the protagonist in the new collection of Ceramica Bardelli. The collection is called CROMIA, and it is made up of solid ceramic tiles with a glossy finish and extraordinary depth of colour.

With this collection, Ceramica Bardelli has rediscovered minimalism as a source of inspiration. The two formats in 14 different colours - 7 predominant colours and 7 neutral shades - were conceived as the artists colour box: an essential set of nuances that, mixed together or used in large uniform backgrounds, gives access to the maximum freedom of expression.

  • Ceramica Vogue partecipates at Coverings 2022 Las Vegas presenting the new collections: Flauti, Riflessi and Decor System.

    FLAUTI

The concept of the Flauti collection was born in Palazzo Montedoria, an office building in Milan built between 1968 and 1971, whose facade was realized by Gio’ Ponti, which inspired the design of structure in 3D, or better yet, in bas-relief.

Flauti is a stoneware listel designed from a concave structure, a convex structure and a flat structure juxtaposed, and draws its strength from the random arrangement, the mixed mesh mounted on net 40x30 cm and different structures, designed and developed with the collaboration of Studio Marcante-Testa.

Launched in September 2021, the strength of the Flauti collection is its versatility, capable of expressing itself best both indoors and outdoors, even covering entire building facades. The effect created by the use of the product for exterior facades is a very scenic result thanks to a play of inclinations and different depth which creates a movement and, so to speak, makes the wall on which the covering is applied vibrate, with a very suggestive bas-relief effect that, while respecting the geometrical rigor of the structure, generates a glossy effect with matt reflects in chiaroscuro.

Mainly designed for covering spaces in the retail and hospitality world, this product can also be used in residential bathrooms, being a glazed porcelain stoneware with a low water absorption characteristic that is found in all Ceramica Vogue collections. The colors are available in matt and glossy finishes, for a total of twelve. There are classic neutral colors (white, black, sand, midnight blue) and more trendy shades such as brick or green, which are currently present in the world of architecture and interior design.

Ceramica Vogue realizes fully customizable designs, providing only a concave or convex structure, or a mixture of both, according to the architect’s requests, thus offering extreme personalization even in small formats. In addition to the range of colors chosen by its design department, the company is able to provide customized shades and color concepts to those who request them.

With Ceramica Vogue, each color can be customized for each type of project to meet all professional design requirements for residential, non-residential and public housing uses.

    RIFLESSI

Riflessi is the new frost resistant glazed stoneware wall tiles collection,  for interior and exterior environments, recalling a strong handcraft effect.

The collection draws from typical Maroccan tiles, thus featuring with very shaded hues any kind of wall where it’s laid.

Its surface, slightly moved and glossy, is extremely light-sensitive, thus taking different reflexes and color nuances at each variation of light.

The strong shaded color effect is even more accentuated thanks to the random layout of the tiles,  in both size cm. 5x5 and cm.. 10x10, meshmounted,  becoming so a real element of decor in residential and extraresidential settings as well, evoking a intimate and domestic atmosphere.

    DECOR SYSTEM

System Decor refers to the new frost-resistant glazed stoneware range of decors by Ceramica Vogue, carried out by Marcante-Testa studio, to meet the even more different ceramic applications in architecture, both in indoor and outdoor settings.
On the base of deep insights into the space around, System Decor simply interprets the world of colour and surfaces decoration leading to a natural complement of System, the most iconic collection of the company.
The various possible layouts given by the meshmount d triangular module 10x10x14 cm exploit the entire System color palette, thus creating geometric patterns able to feature any kind of environment, residential and extra residential as well, thanks to the countless laying schemes that this series leads to.
Decor System stands for a really highly versatile solution also because it’s perfectly matchable with System plain colors where Trasparenze glossy finishes and Interni satin ones contribute to establishing different links to the space around, lending to the ceramic product a significant role for expressing the quality of the architectural context.

  • Appiani partecipates at Coverings 2022 presenting the new collections: Pastelli, Lapis, Regolo

    PASTELLI

Indestructible yet delicate in appearance - this is the nature of Pastelli, the new Appiani collection designed to bring the architecture of living spaces back to
the original, tailored, sometimes naive dimension. Pastelli is the ideal solution for floors, where the distinction between interiors and exteriors, between flooring and covering, becomes more blurred, and therefore free. This is thanks to an extraordinary material, porcelain stoneware, a full-body, coloured and pressed stoneware, with antibacterial, antifungal, anti-stain properties and almost zero moisture absorption rates.
Pastelli is available in 8 colours and 3 sizes, with the possibility of using contrasting joints to create particular geometries and decorative lines inside
the single mesh sheet. Inside the 30x30 cm matrix each individual tessera finds its own position in relation to the original project.
A solution that moves away from traditional patterns, or rather incorporates them, for a project that is ambitious yet free, noble but humble, adaptive and
at the same time performing. Where details and decoration are translated into the uniqueness of the geometric textures in connection with shapes, colours, settings.

    LAPIS

Appiani recently introduced to the market its Lapis collection of ceramic mosaics. Inspired by ancient, authentic, precious and durable suggestions, the Lapis collection was born from the collaboration between Appiani and Studio METCO, a specialist in the insertion of silver particles. With this production innovation, aimed at identifying a silver-based ‘zero bakter’ additive that could come into contact with the ceramic body to give life to the exclusive Appiani Bio Shield+, the company offers a material such as high-performance porcelain stoneware and makes it ‘technical’ by giving it specific characteristics such as an anti-bacterial effect and an effective stain-resistant protection. Tests have confirmed that the inclusion of this additive adds resistance to fungus and mildew, making Lapis particularly suitable for bathroom environments and wellness and pool areas. The additive not only eliminate 98% of bacteria but also fights the viral element – the product is ISO and ASTM certified.

Regarding the material aspect, with the Lapis collection, Appiani has developed a technical material with the characteristics of porcelain stoneware exalted by anti-bacterial additives, which is close to natural stone at the sculptural level and the strong aesthetic impact can replace it for uses in spas, swimming pools and, more generally, in contexts related to hospitality.  These market segments are literally conquered by this intelligent material, which is distinguished, both by the use of Bio Shield+ with anti-bacterial function and a low water absorption, impossible for natural stone with its high coefficients. If this is combined with a contained cost scale, it is understandable that the product can be offered in a wide and diverse range, of indoor and outdoor environments.

This wide range of uses finds an answer from an aesthetic point of view with important research of Appiani to give porcelain stoneware mosaics an aspect that reminds the natural stone both in terms of color and feel, generating a pleasant impression of naturalness. The internal production presses are set up to give all surfaces a more stone-like texture. This product is an innovation also for its higher performance. In fact, while its surface texture looks like stone, the specific and critical issues of stones are eliminated, such as pores or small spots where dirt can insidiously lurk during the cleaning phase.

The Lapis collection is composed of nine complementary colors, which are declined on the tones of gray, brick and taupe in three strands that can in tun be interpreted vertically with three tones. The choice of the limited number of colors available was made according to the color distribution of the natural stone, to develop strongly evocative colors.

Sizes are 25x25 or 30x30 standard as the most commercial size for covering very large areas. On this basis it is possible to create mixed compositions developed on precise standards, while in the world of custom-made, the architect can mix, at will, different types of color not necessarily similar to the basic schemes suggested by the company.

In this way, Appiani gives the product an added value and enriches the “ceramic” material with the new finish specially designed for the light-colored mixture, the result of research into innovative solutions on the surfaces and in thickness.

    REGOLO

Regolo takes a fresh, clean look at Appiani ceramic, creating a harmonious balance of shapes, functions and shades of colour. With Regolo, Appiani explores flat surfaces and structured geometries that allow for surprising, creative interpretations. The Ultramatte opaque finish highlights the structure of the flat surfaces, emphasizing the value of the essential and elegance, as an invitation to meditation and creative freedom. The 9 colours - Panno, Lunaria, Ardesia, Ossido, Ceruleo, Cipria, Mattone, Tanè, Tabacco – and the Iridescent version, the new one, add a soft touch and delicate play of light. With a thickness of 0,72 cm and a size of 7,5 x 30 cm the Appiani mosaic collection guarantees perfect matching (1,2 x 1,2 cm, 2,5 x 2,5 cm, and 5 x 10 cm). The Flat version represents the natural background of every Appiani collection, whereas the Textured ones guarantee unique combinations of their kind.

  • REGOLO by Appiani
Dreamlike, flexible, durable, and tactile, Regolo is an essential system that can be arranged and rearranged in an infinite array of compositions....

  • Regolo takes a fresh, clean look at Appiani ceramic, creating a harmonious balance of shapes, functions and shades of colour. With Regolo, Appiani explores flat, opaque, iridescent surfaces and structured geometries that allow for surprising, creative interpretations. Regolo is a project tool giving endless possibilities, conceived as an integral part of a versatile and articulate composite ceramic and mosaic system, just like the Appiani range.

The iridescent finish investigates the reaction of light on ceramic. The colour scale reacts to firing and recreates the light spectrum, achieving a vivid, confused effect of lightness and freedom. A precious echo of contemporary spirit spreads out in shimmering reflections.

The Ultramatte opaque finish highlights the structure of the flat surfaces, emphasizing the value of the essential and elegance, as an invitation to meditation and creative freedom. The 9 colours - Panno, Lunaria, Ardesia, Ossido, Ceruleo, Cipria, Mattone, Tanè, and Tabacco - add a soft touch and delicate play of light.

Mathematical abstraction turns into beauty and timeless functionality. Domino 100’s entire surface is given added movement by the bas-relief dots, whereas Domino 50’s surfaces are only half decorated. The accurate spacing of the dots is provided by the geometry of the Appiani mosaic, which becomes the module at the base of the rhythm of full and empty spaces. Domino has been designed for residential premises, restaurants, and hotels and is available in neutral Panno, Ardesia, and Ossido shades.

A simple bas-relief line marks the opaque surface. A row that scans the surface of the ceramic, emphasising its structure and resistance, showing different compositional paths. The straight line of the tile offers maximum creative freedom when combined with the mosaic tiles. The rounded geometry in relief creates relaxing and harmonious play of shadows, in a fluid and coherent expression of elegance. Bamboo is available in the Panno, Ossido and Ceruleo shades.

The tactile experience offered by Regolo meets with the sublime interwoven surface of Tatami. The recurring cross pattern is created using a module that is indirectly connected to the Appiani mosaic. Tatami shows a natural inclination for retail and hospitality premises.

With its clearly architectural vocation, Regolo, made of glazed stoneware in white body, is ideal for residential, retail, and hospitality premises. In addition to the Flat versions, with their smooth and uniform or iridescent surfaces, Regolo is also available in the Textured Domino 50 and 100, Tatami and Bamboo versions with bas-relief motifs and structures. To obtain a perfectly final result, lay with a 2 mm joint.

  • FLAUTI by Ceramica Vogue
Flauti is the new stoneware listels collection for cladding, designed by Ceramica Vogue...

  • The concept of the Flauti collection was born in Palazzo Montedoria, an office building in Milan built between 1968 and 1971, whose facade was realized by Gio’ Ponti, which inspired the design of structure in 3D, or better yet, in bas-relief.
