  • The refurbishment was particularly demanding due to the irregular shape and different dimension of the marble slabs and the endless variations of its veins, which had to be carefully matched in order to create decorations that followed the marble’s beautiful natural patterns. We recommended two excellent types of marble: Bianco Statuario, the purest and finest marble available, to brighten the lobby, and Bianco Arabescato marble, a variety renowned for its beautiful veins and crystal white features, for the lift landings on fourteen floors. Thanks to painstaking planning to match each single slab,
the patient work of our specialists and the expert use of the bookmatching technique, we managed to obtain the excellent technical and aesthetic results required by both Ron Arad Associates in London and BBG BBGM in Washington.
