Passion brings ideas to life, the will makes them feasible.

On the Italian and international ceramic tile scene, Edimax Astor Ceramiche stands out for the commitment and passion that have always characterised the company's vision, with a strong focus on innovation and evolution.

These are the cornerstones on which the range created using 3D Shaped Technology was born, a latest-generation digital processing that is inserted into the production process to give ceramic products maximum realism, through a surface procedure that enhances their conformation while preserving the characteristics of strength, durability and ease of cleaning typical of porcelain tiles.

A pioneer of this innovation, Edimax Astor Ceramiche presented this technology for the first time at Cersaie 2018 and, subsequently, at Coverings 2019, implementing a real revolution for the sector that involved a radical change in the concept of ceramic surfaces.

By combining vision and touch in a hyper-realistic representation with no constraints or limits, 3D Shaped technology breaks the mould of the traditional concept of ceramic material which, from a two-dimensional vision, moves on to a three-dimensional realisation where every detail takes on shape, colour and structure.

In 4 years of development and affirmation of 3D Shaped Technology, Edimax Astor Ceramiche has produced more than 10 collections that are the stars of the main international markets and bear witness to a new design concept that has transformed the design and furnishing of contemporary residential and contract environments.

Recently, this technology has been further enhanced with a view to digital evolution, with the addition of new elements on the production line that make it possible to investigate and reproduce the original material in an even more refined and detailed manner. This upgrade has resulted in two new ceramic projects: Home and Charme, which will be introduced for the first time at Coverings 2022.

  • BLOOM
BLOOM takes inspiration from travertine, extracted mainly in the quarries of Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and Marche. BLOOM comes in 3 colours: the original beige-cream, a milky white with ivory-coloured and a silver-grey with light tones....

  • The inspiration of BLOOM comes from a beautiful natural travertine made softer to the touch thanks to a light surface brushing. Softness re-produced in BLOOM thanks to the materials used with 3D shaped technology, which makes the collection suitable for any residential use both in a classic and contemporary key. BLOOM is a synthesis between classic material and contemporary design, its tone never too heavy and always bright, make it suitable for any use and any type of environment. The chromatic and above all material characteristics obtained thanks to 3D Shaped, make it unique and different from any other travertine effect. The elegance of the stone is combined with the resistance of porcelain stoneware to meet every furnishing need, both residential and commercial, indoor or outdoor thanks to the anti-slip version. The original and unique collection enhances the potentials of travertine through the introduction of numerous decorations and 3D structures that reproduce surface processes and that, when combined, allow the creation of design environments.

  • MORE finds inspiration in an exclusive of Brazilian, Indian and South African slates. The combination of digital technology - that allows the development of numerous distinctive graphics - and the exclusive 3D Shaped technology - that makes them three-dimensional and hyper-realistic -, enhances the material for its veracity in the reproduction of the details proposed by the original material, precisely defining the smooth areas, rough and flaked. MORE takes on a true and natural appearance by combining remarkable technical performance, ease of maintenance and cleaning. This series is designed for multiple contexts, for interior design and for the outdoors, united by continuity solutions thanks to the anti-slip version. The different surface finishes and multiple formats make it ideal for covering floors and walls in residential and commercial spaces such as shops, restaurants, bars, hotels and wellness centres. The decorated version in 30x30 (12''x12''), allows to highlight the surfaces, enhancing and strong aesthetic and design sense, creating atmospheres with an intense and exclusive flavour.

  • W3 (Wood3) is a new project that revolutionizes the concept of ceramic wood in appearance and material. Fundamental importance was the choice of the essence as the source of inspiration: a precious and noble variety of the oak tree. Thanks to its characteristics, it lends itself to multiple mechanical and artisan processes, insping the W3 collection, which is developed in 3 distinctive typologies.

CLASS - It is the representation of pure, homogeneous oak, of noble selection with total absence of knots and soft and with intense flames that alternate with each other in a game of aesthetic harmonies typical of the original material.

BURL - It reproduces a lightly brushed, planed and antiqued oak, but unchanged in its natural characteristics compared to the original essence. Through the manual processes the presence of knots, cracks and grouting is enhanced. This gives the product a strong personality.

PATIN - It is inspired by a selection of reclaimed planks, ancient wood chosen and skillfully restored through manual processing by expert craftsmen to evoke the atmosphere of a past time, of a tradition that is still updated today with the evident and precious wear given by the trampling of lived lives.

  • The LIM (Less is More) collection is inspired by the Ceppo di Grè, a clastic sedimentary rock, which is a calcareous cementation of dolomitic clasts that slide down the valley from the slopes of Mount Clemo and are then compressed by glaciers.

By using various fine ceramic materials, two slightly contrasting matt shades are enhanced between relief clasts and calcareous cement in the background.

Beside the original color Grey, LIM collection also offers White.

The graphic and structural customisation of each pebble, which is delicately balances in terms of size and shade with all the other pebbles and with the neutral cement base, makes each piece unique while giving the collection a consistent look, which is why it is suitable for a variety of projects.

While keeping up with the latest design trends, LIM also has an understated style. Thanks to 3D Shaped technology, it is strikingly distinctive in this stylistic context and stands out for its realistic three-dimensional texture, which makes it faithful to the original stone.

  • We have been inspired by our mountains, the Alps, which have been guarding a marble with crystalline purity, Lasa marble, for million years. From this inspiration, our labs have developed the new “Biancospino” collection. Extremely white materials and veins with delicate tones and embellished details thanks to the 3D Shaped Technology. Refined mosaics and new three-dimensional structures complete the collection and enhance its elegant design.

  • CONCERT is inspired by the chessboards and geometric black and white compositions, typical of the floors of the highest Dutch houses of the 1600s.

Jan Vermeer was the artist who has been able to enhance these environments, portraying in his paintings scenes of everyday life, all of them sharing the Carrara marble white flooring and the typical black of the Flemish blustones.

Among these works we find The Concert, a valuable painting to which we refer with this collection developing a project of modular formats, mosaics and special pieces to furnish classic sophisticated environments, evoking a period of cultural and architectural magnificence that saw in the triangle formed by Holland, New Amsterdam (the current New York) and Great Britain (King William III of England was Dutch) its highest expression.

  • Developed with the original 3D Shaped Technology, the collection proposes three selected types of precious marbles and their graphic richness.

The White colour is inspired by Invisible Grey marble, characterized by its intense but delicate tones, strong veins and precious dynamics of golden and greys variations.

At its side we find the Grey colour, a faithful reproduction of the Grey Red Oniciato marble both in tone and surface: rich in the definition of the details and movements of the hard wide and fine stones.

To complete the collection, we introduce the Beige colour, inspired by the marble of French origin Opera Fantastico whose main characteristic is the chromatic variation: gold, brown, beige, purple veins mixed in order to obtain its natural beauty and richness.
