 Press Releases

  • Seletti 4 Ceramica Bardelli is the result of a collaboration between Seletti’s figurative design and Ceramica Bardelli’s expertise in ceramics. The outcome is the capsule collection Tiles (R)evolution which consists of floor and wall tiles with high impact aesthetic proposals designed for the house, contract and hotel industry.

This unprecedented artistic collaboration, which represents a revolution in the world of decorative surfaces, brings together two Italian excellences: the technological innovation and the formal and aesthetic research of the Ceramica Bardelli Group, and the disruptive approach to interior design of Seletti.

“The meeting with Stefano Seletti is the realization of a dream, that is the creation of a 2D capsule collection with the typically 3D aesthetic and design to dialogue with the world of architecture with an original language, Gianmaria Bardelli says. Our common objective? To overturn the logic of decoration and modern creation and go beyond the schemes! In this way, we open together the door to (R)evolution in the design and world of ceramics!”

“There is one thing that Seletti undoubtedly does not lack: the enthusiasm to experiment. In fact, when GianMaria Bardelli proposed me to imagine a project together, I immediately accepted”, says Stefano Seletti, the company’s artistic director. “I discovered that the world of surfaces has something magical in its proposal, with a potential partly close to that of art”.

The collection, made of high-quality materials, is composed of five lines – Distorsion, Diamond, Black&White, Elements 1 - Nuvole and Elements 2 - Acqua – that translate into an unconventional pattern with a contemporary soul to create engaging and surprising spaces.

    DISTORTION

Distortion is a porcelain stoneware tile - with a super-matt finish thanks to no-reflex glazes - whose patterns and geometries reinterpret Seletti's iconic black and white pattern, drawing inspiration from the imagery of Maurits Cornelis Escher and the paradoxical perspectives, hypnotic patterns, and perceptual short-circuits characteristic of his works.

Distortion is ideal for floor applications in which the optical effect of "distortion" is expressed to the utmost: through the combination of square modules measuring 14x14 cm and diamond-shaped modules measuring 14x24 cm - mounted on fiberglass mesh - the image of the classic checkers is thus transformed, making it possible to create an infinite variety of compositions and unexpected optical effects.

    DIAMOND

Diamond is a three-dimensional monoporous ceramic tile available with a glossy finish - in white, black, orange, mustard and red - and in glass with a mirror finish in the Mirror version. The 10x40 cm size of the Diamond line makes it possible to imagine modular coverings for spaces with a contemporary soul, but also for more classic spaces, thanks to the iconic diamond pattern that evokes a retro look and vintage atmospheres.

    BLACK&WHITE

Black&White is a mosaic - in single firing with a glossy and matte finish - which expresses the consolidated expertise of Ceramica Bardelli in imagining solutions that allow to overcome the traditional boundaries of decoration, combined with the visionary approach of Seletti.

The line, which is characterized by a play of black and white with infinite combinations of creativity, is available in a kit consisting of 12 sheets (each measuring 30x30 cm) that makes it possible to create a wall measuring 140x240 cm. The resulting compositions are a unique texture that allows to intervene on clear-cut shapes but also on rounded surfaces by covering them like a fabric.

    ELEMENTS 1 - NUVOLE and ELEMENTS 2 - ACQUA

Elements is a series in which nature and its elements, water and clouds, are the protagonists: thanks to the large 60x120 cm format of the tiles (which can be combined with A+B patterns and are made using high added-value "third-fire" digital printing technologies), it is possible to create immersive spaces, bringing the magic of the outside world into interiors. Walking on a blue sky dotted with soft clouds or feeling surrounded by crystal-clear water thus becomes possible: perception is overturned, radically transforming interior spaces.

  • Ceramica Bardelli, a brand of Bardelli Group, presents the new collection HEXA. A new chapter in the color development of Cromia. The pure color flows into the six sides of the hexagon creating an architectural element that becomes a contemporary decoration.

A journey of aesthetic and technical research in a modern perspective. The ceramic substrate in Monoporosa white body fully enhances the color of Cromia solid colors while the diamond version, exquisitely in the retro style of the '900, allows interior decoration to be inspired by the typical of the London and Paris Metrò with the unusual "POP" feel.

A collection of plain white-body ceramic tiles with a glossy finish for an extraordinary depth of color. The real protagonist of the collection is definitely the light. The perfectly smooth surface is particularly shiny and sensitive to any light source. The uniform color, deep to the eye, is the result of a dynamic composition of light and pigments, capable of transforming its aesthetics with the changing of the hours of the day, contaminating itself with reflections and shades. The hexagonal shape and the power of color expression together with the reflective capacity of the glossy finish, makes Hexa perfect for giving volume and movement to architecture.

The HEXA collection presents a range of 6 colors in 17x15cm sizes with 8mm thickness for the "flat" version while the diamond version reaches a thickness of 12mm.

HEXA Flat and HEXA Bisellato represent two innovative solutions in the design of color for interior decoration giving the possibility to architects and interior designers to create an alternation of the smooth structure with the diamond one. The shades mixed with each other or used in large uniform backgrounds, gives the maximum freedom of expression, allowing the creation of scenographic compositions where color and light become absolute.

  • Textures of color that delicately touch one another without ever colliding, filaments of crystal-clear ceramics that create dancing lines, sorted and harmonious, generate a slow and constant movement that explores the surfaces transforming the spaces into the perfect garment.

Fili Collection by Ceramica Bardelli are the decorative cadeaux in porcelain stoneware ceramics of 11.5x23cm, re-issued by Ceramica Bardelli, inspired by the collection of 1984, indelible icon of the trend of colors and textile weave of the time. It is here revisited in a combination of trendy shades made in digital printing and combined with modern technologies of ceramic decoration on porcelain stoneware.

The space can thus become a perfect outfit, made of colorful threads that run along the walls of outdoor and indoor environments, without any limits. This is the freedom that Italian fashion has, declined in the world of Ceramics by Ceramica Bardelli.

  • Founded in Treviso in 1873 and today one of the brands of the Bardelli Group, Appiani creates ceramic mosaics for architecture, combining constant aesthetical research with a high technological content. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, the versatility of use of ceramic mosaics complements the wide range and modularity of shapes and finishes offered by Appiani, which allows an infinite series of combinations and original design solutions.

    THE NEW COLLECTION

‘Pastelli’ is the most authentic dimension of the mosaic, in complete synergy with Appiani tradition that seeks a strong aesthetic emotion through a path of innovation. Indestructible, but delicate in appearance, the new Appiani collection was designed to give the architecture of residential spaces an original dimension, sartorial, sometimes with a naive flavor.

This collection is made of full body porcelain stoneware, a particular mixture of pigmented clays and earths pressed in full body with added colorants. The result is an extremely resistant ceramic with antibacterial, antifungal, anti-stain characteristics thanks to the special Bioshield+ antibacterial defense.

Appiani mosaic in full body porcelain stoneware provides high technical performance and durability over time. The high firing temperatures and compactness give the mosaic a significant resistance to loads, impacts, bending, wear and frost.

Less than 0.5%, the mosaic absorption represents an important technological milestone for the company and makes it suitable for the installation of external floors and coverings, even on wet surfaces or in contact with water.

    A WIDE RANGE OF COLORS

The ‘Pastelli’ collection is inspired by neutral and desaturated shades from gray scales and trendy soft tones.

There are eight colors. From the classic white, anthracite and gray, earthier shades have been developed: a terracotta that goes from salmon to red stoneware, sage gray, blue and dark anthracite.

The names of the colors in this collection, Aurora, Ostrica, Conchiglia, Osso, Nocciola, Cenere, are evocative of a world that recalls the simplicity and wonder of childhood and connects to the idea of pastels.

    THE JOINT PROTAGONIST

Interesting is the role of the joint, which expands its traditional function by becoming an element capable of changing the perception of color and the aesthetic impact of the whole.

In the catalog, tone-on-tone matching joints are available, as well as contrasting joints, which allow the realization of unprecedented combinations, particular geometries and decorative lines already inside the single mesh sheet, a 30x30 cm mold in which each tile finds its own placement in relation to the project.

    SIZES AND LAYING PATTERNS

The collection is available in 3 sizes, 1,25 x 1,25, 2,5 x 2,5, 1,25 x 3,75 cm, as well as prefabricated and customized laying patterns. Thanks to the versatile technologies used by the company, the tiles can be personalized on the plate where the pattern is drawn and from which the 3D printer creates the template for the laying of mosaic. Using the proposal in the catalog, you can still freely combine colors and sizes in endless compositions.

The application solutions range from both interiors (Ritrovo, 1° Piano, Ricarica, Occasione, Concept) and exteriors (Solarium), to retail spaces (Profumo) and bathroom environments (Refresh).

    BIO SHIELD ANTIBACTERIAL DEFENSE

Like all Appiani’s recent collections, ‘Pastelli’ has also been developed with Bioshield+, the ‘native’ bacterial treatment, anti-mold and anti-stain which lasts over time and protects the surface in all conditions of use, temperature and light.

More than just an ‘antibacterial shield’, this solution is certified according to the most important international standards and is an ideal product to ensure sanitation of spaces where maximum hygiene and comfort are required, from hospitals to schools, from canteens to wellness areas and from hotels to homes.

Bioshield+ was born from the collaboration with Metco Italia, leader in research in this field with the innovative Zerobalter 4ever bacteriostatic and bactericidal finish made of silver nanoparticles.

  • Appiani – a company founded in 1873 is one of the brands of the Bardelli Group – is a historical brand in the context of its own region and in the Italian and international panorama of ceramic, with an aesthetic value recognized in the world of mosaics.

Appiani recently introduced to the market its Lapis collection of ceramic mosaics. Inspired by ancient, authentic, precious and durable suggestions, the Lapis collection was born from the collaboration between Appiani and Studio METCO, a specialist in the insertion of silver particles. With this production innovation, aimed at identifying a silver-based ‘zero bakter’ additive that could come into contact with the ceramic body to give life to the exclusive Appiani Bio Shield+, the company offers a material such as high-performance porcelain stoneware and makes it ‘technical’ by giving it specific characteristics such as an anti-bacterial effect and an effective stain-resistant protection.

Tests have confirmed that the inclusion of this additive adds resistance to fungus and mildew, making Lapis particularly suitable for bathroom environments and wellness and pool areas. The additive not only eliminate 98% of bacteria but also fights the viral element – the product is ISO and ASTM certified.

Regarding the material aspect, with the Lapis collection, Appiani has developed a technical material with the characteristics of porcelain stoneware exalted by anti-bacterial additives, which is close to natural stone at the sculptural level and the strong aesthetic impact can replace it for uses in spas, swimming pools and, more generally, in contexts related to hospitality.

These market segments are literally conquered by this intelligent material, which is distinguished, both by the use of Bio Shield+ with anti-bacterial function and a low water absorption, impossible for natural stone with its high coefficients. If this is combined with a contained cost scale, it is understandable that the product can be offered in a wide and diverse range, of indoor and outdoor environments.

This wide range of uses finds an answer from an aesthetic point of view with important research of Appiani to give porcelain stoneware mosaics an aspect that reminds the natural stone both in terms of color and feel, generating a pleasant impression of naturalness. The internal production presses are set up to give all surfaces a more stone-like texture.

This product is an innovation also for its higher performance. In fact, while its surface texture looks like stone, the specific and critical issues of stones are eliminated, such as pores or small spots where dirt can insidiously lurk during the cleaning phase.

The Lapis collection is composed of nine complementary colors, which are declined on the tones of gray, brick and taupe in three strands that can in tun be interpreted vertically with three tones. The choice of the limited number of colors available was made according to the color distribution of the natural stone, to develop strongly evocative colors.

Sizes are 25x25 or 30x30 standard as the most commercial size for covering very large areas. On this basis it is possible to create mixed compositions developed on precise standards, while in the world of custom-made, the architect can mix, at will, different types of color not necessarily similar to the basic schemes suggested by the company.

In this way, Appiani gives the product an added value and enriches the “ceramic” material with the new finish specially designed for the light-colored mixture, the result of research into innovative solutions on the surfaces and in thickness.

  • Ceramica Vogue, a brand of the Bardelli Group - leading manufacturer of ecological white-body glazed stoneware tiles – is expanding its Flauti collection, introducing new options in sizes and colors.

Launched in September 2021, Flauti is the collection of glazed stoneware wall tiles designed to characterize architectural space through a texture with low relief. Initially available only in the 5x20 cm (2”x8”) format with 6 different glossy and matte colors and mounted on a 40x30 cm (16”x12”) mesh, Ceramica Bardelli now presents a new format to the collection: 5x40 cm (2”x16”), available in 12 colors with a polished finish.

In addition to the 6 colors in the 5x20 cm format, 6 new colors were added, anticipating market trends and demands. The new options add value to the Flauti collection by offering a greater choice of colors. Available with a glossy finish for the new format, they range from classic neutral colors (white, sand, midnight blue), to more trendy colors such as purple or green - currently popular in architecture and interior design.

The new 5x40 format will also be available in concave or convex tiles that can lead to a mix of both, depending on the architect's requirements – allowing a complete customization.

The strength of the Flauti collection is its versatility. Flauti is the ideal solution in both interior and exterior applications, up to the cladding of entire building facades. The effect created on exterior facades is very scenic and plays on different inclinations and depths. This creates a movement and makes the cladded wall “vibrate”, with a very striking low-relief effect that, while respecting the geometric rigor of the structure, generates a glossy effect with opaque reflections of light and dark.

"We have listened to our customers and market demands, and we are pleased to expand our iconic Flauti collection, which is seeing significant results in the market," says Gianmaria Bardelli, CEO of Marketing&Design. “With Flauti, we are offering an even wider range for interior and exterior applications to ensure our customers increasingly complete and customized design solutions."

  • Twins is the new tile collection in plain colors for indoor and outdoor coverings in frost-proof glazed stoneware in bas-relief structure.

The collection is inspired by the urban style of the early 1900s, when diamond tiles were commonly used to cover the long corridors of subway stations in major cities.

The surface of the brilliant inverted diamond structure is very sensitive to any light source, providing different reflections and shades with each change of light.

The six colors in the collection are reminiscent of the four classic shades of industrial culture in addition to two bold colors.

In the combination of colors and compositions, Twins stays true to its name and offers an unusual and surprising twinning of materials and colors.

The 5x10 cm format is offered in three patterns: orthogonal, offset and modern coffered; available in mesh-mounted, becoming a true decorative element for residential and commercial settings with the timeless charm of the total metropolitan look.

  • Riflessi is the new frost resistant glazed stoneware wall tiles collection,  for interior and exterior environments, recalling a strong handcraft effect.

The collection draws from typical Maroccan tiles, thus featuring with very shaded hues any kind of wall where it’s laid.

Its surface, slightly moved and glossy, is extremely light-sensitive, thus taking different reflexes and color nuances at each variation of light.

The strong shaded color effect is even more accentuated thanks to the random layout of the tiles,  in both size cm. 5x5 and cm.. 10x10, meshmounted,  becoming so a real element of decor in residential and extraresidential settings as well, evoking a intimate and domestic atmosphere.

  • System Decor refers to the new frost-resistant glazed stoneware range of decors by Ceramica Vogue, carried out by Marcante-Testa studio, to meet the even more different ceramic applications in architecture, both in indoor and outdoor settings.
On the base of deep insights into the space around, System Decor simply interprets the world of colour and surfaces decoration leading to a natural complement of System, the most iconic collection of the company.
The various possible layouts given by the meshmounted triangular module 10x10x14 cm exploit the entire System color palette, thus creating geometric patterns able to feature any kind of environment, residential and extra residential as well, thanks to the countless laying schemes that this series leads to.
Decor System stands for a really highly versatile solution also because it’s perfectly matchable with System plain colors where Trasparenze glossy finishes and Interni satin ones contribute to establishing different links to the space around, lending to the ceramic product a significant role for expressing the quality of the architectural context.

  • The Appiani brand from Gruppo Bardelli, a well-established company specialised in the production of ceramic mosaic for indoor and outdoor architecture presents the new Preziosa collection to the market.

Preziosa is the latest addition to Appiani, a collection that combines the brand's style, established technical expertise and savoir-faire with creative original solutions that respond to the functionality and aesthetic appeal of mosaics.

Preziosa is a synonym for beauty. It is made of ceramic mosaic, with a fine porcelain stoneware backing, which further enhances the technical features of the product. Preziosa is innovative due to the new mixture developed, a composition of earths and clays that has already been tested and approved by the market with positive feedback.

Preziosa is shimmering and glittery, elegant and refined. It is versatile and creates plays of light. Like dew in the morning, the colour of the new collection takes on unique nuances that embrace new trends in the world of design and give bright sensations to any environment.

"We are delighted to present the new Preziosa collection, which confirms the Appiani brand's constant quest to create surprising collections," says Gianmaria Bardelli, CEO Marketing&Design Gruppo Bardelli. "We are constantly looking to expand our product portfolio with additional formats, colours and designs to respond more and more to the demands of small-format customisation and practicality in use and application”.

The Preziosa collection comes in 8 colours and shades, inspired by the metal palette and in 3 formats 1.25x1.25; 2.50x2.50 and 1.25x3.75. The diverse shades from copper to bronze give a metallic effect to the product. Achieving this result was ensured by major investments in technology from the Appiani brand to find the polish solution that responds to new and original design requirements. This very valuable component makes Preziosa a collection with precious material in every sense.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, for residential and hospitality projects, the new Preziosa collection has slip-resistant and antibacterial properties, making it ideal for wet environments and those exposed to chlorine.

Appiani offers many different possible uses of ceramic mosaic, whether indoor or outdoor, that call for a wide range of shapes and finishes. It allows an infinite series of combinations and original design solutions.

"Preziosa, as the name itself recalls, is designed to be used in refined and luxurious environments, showrooms with fine products, refined materials, and where the opulence of the place is already communicated by the coverings," concludes Gianmaria Bardelli.

  • THE UNCONVENTIONAL SUBWAY TILE

Twins by Ceramica Vogue is the new tile collection in plain colors for indoor and outdoor coverings in frost-proof glazed stoneware in bas-relief structure.

Seletti 4 Ceramica Bardelli is the art meeting the matter

  • Ceramica Vogue expands Flauti Collection
Ceramica Vogue, a brand of the Bardelli Group - leading manufacturer of ecological white-body glazed stoneware tiles – is expanding its Flauti collection, introducing new options in sizes and colors....

  • Launched in September 2021, Flauti is the collection of glazed stoneware wall tiles designed to characterize architectural space through a texture with low relief.
