 Show Specials

  • Design through the ages.

Portland Stone interprets the expressive strength of this ancient rock.

Portland Stone takes a fresh look at a very ancient limestone, as Ergon successfully offers the contemporary design world the ancestral strength of a material that has survived geological eras with its charisma intact.

The five shades – Sand, Talc, Ash, Lead, Anthracite – offer different readings of the natural material with a highly versatile aesthetic. Tiles are available in two main versions, inspired by two stone cutting methods: Cross-Cut, for a mottled look with main shade variations and distinctive details; and Vein-Cut, for an elegant, immaculate striped effect. There is also the very visually striking Lines decor with a three-dimensional look, completing a dynamic, versatile design toolkit. The two finishes, natural and bush-hammered, combine to interpret different aesthetic tastes and meet every technical requirement.

 Press Releases

  • For its new collection, Ergon has gone in search of a material with very antique origins. It is deeply rooted in the built heritage, a rock familiar from the famous facades of palaces and cathedrals. We are talking about Portland Stone: a long, glorious history for a limestone formation that has maintained its beauty intact through geological eras. A glance at St Paul’s Cathedral or Buckingham Palace is enough to confirm its status.

Portland Stone interprets the expressive strength of this ancient rock and places it firmly within the framework of contemporary design. The material receives a meticulous, sophisticated reworking that reinforces its excellent architectural potentials. Suitable for any location, indoor or outdoor, it is perfect in refined, minimalist design schemes.
